Troubleshooting & Issue reporting tips:

  • Check to see if the member is a Chronic OR Acute member.

  • If this is an Acute member, and there is no red flag, this is working as designed.

  • IF this is a Chronic member and no red flag triggers, this is a bug and can be ticketed to Freshdesk/ Internal Tools.

Additional information/ enhancements:

We took a closer look at the distribution of existing red flag Acute users today to determine if there is any opportunity for additional refinement of the criteria that was set years ago. Today, the criteria that designates a member as red flag is as follows:

  • VAS Pain >= 8 (out of 10)

  • Pain Weeks <= 1

  • Comorbidity: A miscellaneous category of questions that are more clinically concerning (list)

 Additionally, following the program review we noticed that many of medical history questions flag members as red flag regardless of whether or not the member states that the physician has cleared them for exercise. We would like to update red flag criteria to specifically only flag members if

  • They answer yes to the relevant question (e.g. “In the past 2 weeks, have you experienced any unexplained progressive weakness or numbness in your legs, arms, or hands?*) AND

  • They answer no to follow up question around physician exercise clearance (“Regarding these symptoms, have you been cleared by a physician to participate in unsupervised, light exercise?*)
